Seventeen years

We are on the hydrofoil heading back to Hanoi where we hang for the day before our 10pm overnight train to Hoi An. Very much looking forward to the lantern city and know this was a highlight place for Melly and Brian. It's our 17th wedding anniversary and spending it in a sleeper car with the kids will be a celebration second only to spending our 7th in the hospital when Robin was born.

Enjoyed Cat Ba but not sorry to leave. The only real highlight was the spectacular scenery from the boat trip on Thursday. It was absolutely worth the trip out here but the rest of the town is pretty cheesy. Here's to hoping the ride home is smoother than the one here. Everyone loaded up with gravol, but it's not my family I'm worried about. Eeewww gross.

Been traveling almost a month now. Seems like longer but also going by quickly. Have been in pretty regular contact with friends and family which has been nice. Still so much ahead of us...

We are all a bit grumpy this morning...travel days can be a bit of a grind but always worth it in the end. Have not lost sight of the incredible adventure and experience we are having. I feel so fortunate. But could really do with a good cup of coffee that doesn't have 3 tbsp of condensed milk in it!

  1. Very cute and honest blogs from both you and Craig. There would be no 'highs' if there were no 'lows'!
