We didn't have much on the agenda today. We decided to take the bikes out and ride towards the national park. There is a restaurant there that Tommy from Hoi An recommended called "the best bbq pork restaurant in the world, probably" and many locals here concurred that it was very good. We were also thinking we could do the boat ride into Phong Nha cave which is supposed to be cool.
However! A half hour into the ride there, things were getting a little hot. When Abby started to complain about a headache and being overheated (her tolerance for pain is very high), so we turned around, stopped at a little makeshift rest area to hydrate a little, and slowly made our way back home.
The countryside is beautiful here and it was fun getting out, but it WAS very hot. We spent the rest of the day alternatively in the pool, in a hammock, reading, eating, drinking and doing short walks around the area.

At night, a two person band from the Phillipines set up and played during dinner and afterwards. We really love the atmosphere here at Phong Nha Farmstay.
