Phare Circus
PLast night, my family and I went to go see a circus called Phare. We were watching the production called "Eclipse". The circus was very highly rated on Tripadvisor, so my mom checked it out, and then surprised Robin and I. The performers are all from very poor villages in Cambodia, but this circus organization provided these talented young artists an amazing opportunity to join this circus. The money all goes to help out the education of young artists, and to help further educate people in poor villages, like the ones these people came from. It's for a really great cause, so we all went yesterday night. The circus was set up in a small, non-air conditioned arena, but that didn't matter because we had fans. Our seats were in the second row, and we were super close the the stage/floor. Everyone was pretty close though, because it was a pretty small tent. The show was about a boy who grew up in a poor village, and was bullied for being different. He prayed to the gods to be as powerful and as beautiful as a woman, and so the gods transformed him into a young woman. It's about discrimination and bullying. The circus was amazing!! The performers were so talented and there was a lot of humour in the circus too. Even though it was only an hour, it was defiantly worth it!
