Impressions of Singapore
Singapore was amazing! One of the highlights of the trip so far, hands down! I'm so sad to have to leave it, but I'm also excited to be in Malaysia at the same time. Singapore felt like home, with the modern, clean city vibe. It's unbelievably clean! All of the streets, even the alleyways, are spotless! I said, as we were driving from the airport to our hotel, "This whole country feels like it's part of a Disney park". I meant that it's so perfect and clean, that it's like the whole country is like part of a clean, perfect Disney park. I love all of the modern buildings and the architecture is outstanding! I'm really interested in cool architecture, and the buildings in Singapore are some of the most amazing buildings I've ever seen. One building had a chunk cut out of it, and a bunch of trees were planted in its place! One had a bunch of silver, small hexagons covering the whole building! And my favourite, is the famous Marina Bay, which is three buildings with a boat like structure on top of all three! Incredible! Singapore also has a ton of gardens, trees and flowers everywhere you go! I love modern cities with big gardens in it. As much as I love the city, Singapore is also pretty cultural. Singaporeans are made up of Malay people, Indians, and Chinese. When we went to Singapore, it was Malay fest (or new year...I don't really know), and all of Singapore celebrated it. There are also different areas of the country to welcome each culture into Singapore, such as Little India, Chinatown, and Little Malaysia. We toured around Chinatown and Little India, and it felt like we weren't even in Singapore anymore! Anyway, I really love Singapore, and I will defiantly be back!
