On our own again...

The Versluis family left today. Feels very strange to be back on our own now! We have really enjoyed the interspersed visits from Stephen & Kris, The Mudfords and The Versluis gang. We certainly had an incredible time with Alex, Kim, Jeffrey and Matt and cannot believe how in sync the two families were. Through boats, planes, trains, mini vans and taxis, we travelled incredibly well together for two and a half weeks. Made some lasting memories for sure and most certainly strengthened an already strong friendship. One of the great gifts of travel!

I have officially lost track of the days of the week and the dates. I do know that we are nearing the official halfway point which will no doubt delight the grandparents.  Flying to Kuala Lumpur today and my city girl (Abby) is excited to be heading to yet another big city. Hope it lives up to her (modern) expectations. Lol. We are ready for a change of scenery as we move to peninsular Malaysia, but have truly enjoyed our time in Borneo.

Some exciting things planned for the remainder of the trip. Need to remind myself to stay focused on the moment at hand and enjoy every second. I'm sure it will go fast. Embracing the 24/7 togetherness of our foursome again! (please remind me of this the next time we are in a cramped room for four and all need space).

Off to KL!
