High tea in Cameron Highlands

The girls and I went out for high tea today. We've taken Gram and Nana out for an afternoon cream tea at The Old Mill and this setting was equally as beautiful, although the two grandmothers were missed and discussed!

We ordered the Smokehouse Cream tea which came with a fruit cake, smoked salmon and cheese sandwiches and a scone. After a good 10 minutes in very confusing exchange, we had placed our special orders. Cucumber sandwiches, no cheese for the girls. Mine had cheese. Two scones for the girls, no fruit cake. I had the fruit cake. Special order of herbal mint tea for the kids and I had the standard Cameron highlands tea. We also ordered two shortbread cookies, which thankfully were forgotten as we were all more than full!  The only minor disappointment was that they didn't come on the little three tiered plates like we had hoped BUT that is seriously a first world problem, so we got over it pretty quickly.

Robin wanted to talk about life, so we did. We also stuffed our faces with Devonshire cream and homemade strawberry jam which I am seriously regretting as I lie on my bed now...

Here are a few pics of the afternoon tea, courtesy of Abby (except those she is in).
